Blog Blast - See What’s in My Man Cave and Bill Me Later

Friday, October 17th, 2008

Whether it’s that old college sweatshirt that would make a fantastic dustrag, that nasty leather chair that smells like your dog, or the beer bottle collection that he’s convinced will fund your retirement, we know that almost every man (or woman) has got that sentimental something they just can’t get rid of.

We also know where these relics are hidden…in their caves. Man caves are created predominantly (but not exclusively) by male inhabitants to store treasures and host leisure activities of all sorts.

So tell us - or better yet, SHOW US - what your spouse (or you) has hiding in that man cave. And if it’s your spouse’s man cave that you’re exposing to the world, don’t forget to include that lovely excuse he uses to guilt you into letting him keep it.

This week, we’ve teamed up with Bill Me Later to get the word out about their “Win a Man Cave” contest - just in time for football season! Many man caves, while adored unconditionally by their inhabitants, are in dire need of a makeover. Post video and photo submissions at www.IWantMyManCave.com, and readers can make cave décor recommendations and vote for the cave they feel is most in need of a makeover.

Even if you don’t have a man cave to makeover, Bill Me Later is a great place to start shopping online - and our Blog Blast winners will get to do just that, thanks to Bill Me Later!

Here’s how to participate:

Write a post on your blog telling us (and showing us!) what objects your spouse (or you) keep hanging onto for dear life. Post anytime this weekend - Today, October 17 to Sunday, October 19 and include links to http://shopping.billmelater.com/linkin?pageid=billmelater&s_kwcid=[PBN] and http://blog.parentbloggers.com.

Make sure to send your blog post link to parentbloggers@gmail.com and we’ll round them right here - so give your post a creative title!

What can you win?
