Not surprisingly, the second half of the group of bloggers who were each treated to a set of 25 customized holiday cards from Minted.com were just as thrilled as the first half. They included a few people who usually dread choosing and sending holiday cards (if they remember to do so at all) - who are each now “the one who has unique, fresh photo cards of her beautiful girls ALREADY printed up and just ready to be addressed and stamped.”
Then there was this blogger, whose holiday cards typically incite guffaws, not gasps:
“One year we sent out cards with us dressed as Britney Spears & Kevin Federline with the tagline “Have a Very Cheetos Christmas.” Another year we sent out cards starring our dog Rigby wearing 2006 glasses and below her photo we wrote, “Kiss Me At Midnight!” We like to be different.”
This year, all of the bloggers who participated in this campaign will have holiday cards that are different - and in the case of cards from Minted.com, different is very much a good thing. As this blogger described: “What makes Minted.com different from other online holiday cards is that the designs are made by indie designers, meaning that they are very artistic. In fact they even held a contest for different designs.” Another blogger agreed: “The options were endless, the designs timeless and classy, and the different choices in layout assured me that any choice of card I made was certain to be both personal and representative of our family.”
With such a wide range of designs, Minted has something for everyone: “It was love at first sight. You might think that’s a strange way to feel about a holiday card, but that’s because you haven’t clicked through to Minted yet. Go on, click. See which design jumps out at you; I can almost guarantee that one of them will.”

But even if you find a card that you adore right off the bat, you can still create any number of mock-ups and review them before finalizing your order: “Once I created an account, I was able to try out different designs with my uploaded photos and save them for future use. I liked being able to create multiple cards and then still go with design number one with confidence that I’d made the right decision.” And while it would seem that so much customization would be overwhelming, it’s really not at all: “I found the Minted site easy to use and the options were enough to personalize the cards without going overboard with patterns and choices.”
Another aspect of the design process that sets Minted apart is the personal attention given to each order: “Each card is handled by a design associate who will customize and edit the card to specification. For instance the photo I used for the card was colour but I requested that it be converted to black & white, and the background be taken out.”
The design created by this blogger needed some tweaking: “When [the designer] mailed me a proof, and I didn’t like the result (sort of a “what was I thinking with that combo?” kind of situation) he offered me some choices of styles that would work better with my chosen photo. And he was right.” But more importantly, the designer made his suggestions in a way that conveyed his sincere hope that the blogger was thrilled with her cards: “As satisfied as I am with the cards themselves, I was most impressed with the service.”
The finished products knocked the bloggers’ socks off: “The cards were printed on heavy cardstock, and the colors were bright, vivid and exactly what I’d hoped they’d be. These are fantastic looking cards.” Another blogger considered the cards to be an early present - to herself: “Having these cards arrive in the mail, with envelopes, perfectly formatted, in a beautiful package was a gift in and of itself.”
And it’s a sure thing that these cards will impress the recipients, no matter what kind of crazy holiday cards you might have sent in the past: “So we are sending these GORGEOUS Minted holiday cards to the people on our mailing list that might not, uh, get our sense of humor.”
Order today to receive your Minted cards by December 15. Yes, that’s a rush - but they’re worth it!
