Let’s Hear Your Turkey Talk: Butterball’s Blast Begins Today

Holiday time is almost upon us, and with it comes joy, togetherness, and a healthy dose of stress, especially in the kitchen. Whether we’re preparing the entire holiday meal or bringing a special dish, we all want to get it right.

So when it comes to your cooking preparations, tell us your favorite stories from holidays past and present. Did your overcooked turkey send your family for take out? Did you use a frozen pumpkin pie and pass it off as homemade? Or did your mother-in-law throw a fit when your husband chose your stuffing over hers?

We want to know all about your family holiday meals. So dish it out!

This week, we’ve teamed up with Butterball to promote their Turkey Talk-Line. Call 1-800-BUTTERBALL to virtually talk turkey with their holiday meal preparation experts, or visit Butterball.com for Web chats with a few bloggers we all know and love - Chris Jordan (Notes from the Trenches), Susan Wagner (Friday Playdate), and Roxanna Sarmiento (Miguelina) on November 11, 18 and 25 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. CST. They’ll answer all your turkey related questions.

Here’s how to participate:

Write a post on your blog telling us about your home-cooked holiday meals. Post anytime this weekend - Today, November 7 to Sunday, November 9 and include links to http://www.butterball.com and http://blog.parentbloggers.com.

Also, please include the following blurb:

“This post was written for Parent Bloggers Network as part of a sweepstakes sponsored by Butterball.”

Make sure to send your blog post link to parentbloggers@gmail.com and we’ll round them up right here - so give your post a creative title!

What can you win?

All the essentials for a picture-perfect turkey - a roasting pan, meat thermometer and carving set, along with a $15 Butterball gift certificate to put toward your Thanksgiving turkey and a $150 VISA gift card to help buy the rest of the ingredients for the meal! One lucky winner will be selected at random.

Special bonus: The first twenty bloggers to send us a link to their post* will also win a coupon for a free Butterball turkey**! That’s right - you could get a turkey just for posting. What are you waiting for?!
