Even though we’ve all grown to love the instant gratification of sending and receiving email, there’s no substitute for snail mail. Finding a brightly colored envelope with your address scrawled in familiar handwriting in your mailbox still thrills even the most tech-savvy of us.
Only during the holidays does personal correspondence outnumber bills in our daily mail delivery. We toss the bills aside in favor of opening cards, admiring photos, and reading single-spaced, full-page accounts of every last detail of the past year.
While it’s the message inside that counts, giving and receiving gorgeous cards is undeniably fun.
