There’s nothing like a little one in a costume to make the perfect photo opportunity. So this Halloween weekend, we’re giving you the chance to brag about your adorable kids and their costumes with a fun photo contest brought to you in conjunction with our friends at Blurb.
Blurb.com is a creative book publishing platform that enables anyone (yes, you!) to produce your own bookstore-quality book starting at $12.95. All you need is a computer and some inspiration. Import photos, text, artwork, or even your blog. Creative control is entirely up to you.
Here’s how to participate:
1) Write a post on your blog about this year’s Halloween adventures and include pictures of your dressed-up kids - each blogger may enter up to three photos maximum. Each picture may only be entered in one category, so pick carefully. Pictures don’t have to be from this year either - if you’ve got some fabulous vintage shots, feel free to enter those!

- Cutest Costume (age 3 and up)
- Funniest Costume
- Most Creative Costume
- Best Handmade Costume
- Best Photo
2) Make sure to clearly mark in your post in which category each photo is entered.
3) Join our Blurb/PBN Halloween Contest Flickr Pool and show off your kiddos (this is an optional portion of the contest, but certainly a fun extra bonus!).
Post anytime this weekend - Friday, October 31 to Sunday, November 2 and include links to http://blog.parentbloggers.com and http://www.blurb.com/?ce=parentbloggers somewhere in your post.
Make sure to send your blog post link to parentbloggers@gmail.com and we’ll round them up here at PBN - so give your post a creative title!
