Did you know that World Egg Day is Friday, October 10? Well, maybe you didn’t know that, but we’re betting you already knew that they make a pretty darned good meal. Unlike a lot of products in the grocery stores these days, eggs are actually quite affordable. Plus, you can whip them up with a variety of common ingredients any time of day.
But even though eggs may seem about as American as apple pie and baseball, don’t forget that it’s World Egg Day we’re celebrating. Eggs are a food staple all over the world. Where else can you get so much nutrition in such a compact package?

This week, in honor of World Egg Day, we’ve asked twelve of our PBN bloggers to post about their eggy adventures in the kitchen with their kids. They’ll share their recipes and post photos or videos of the creative process. So check in with our participating bloggers all week long - you may get some great ideas for egg-centric (not to mention egg-cellent!) dishes to make with your own family!

Hey, too bad you didn’t choose me, lol. Twice, not once, but twice I have tried to simply boil eggs only to forget about them and when I realized there was a problem, eggs were shooting from a dry pan of water all over my kitchen like bullets. We spend days, maybe even weeks finding egg shells all over the living room.
About 2 months ago I walked into my mom’s house and inquired about the “smell” to which my oldest son burst into laughter as he relayed a story about eggs flying in the kitchen.
Neither of us are smart enough to only boil one or two either, we would have six or seven eggs shooting around the room. Oh and it is dangerous too.
That should read that we spent days maybe even weeks finding egg shells all over the kitchen (my children are talking in my ears…..ugh…..family hour….imagine them bothering me during family hour, lol)
