Whether it’s learning the ABCs or getting our kids to clean up without much fuss, or even just making diaper changes a little bit more interesting, we’ve all got those kooky, catchy, and okay, sometimes annoying songs to help quicken the learning process and make the mundane a little more fun.
So we want to know your tried and true songs or jingles. Did you rewrite the lyrics to your favorite fight song, or do you just sing everything to the tune of Twinkle Twinkle? Share your catchy songs with us (but just don’t get them stuck in our heads. Please!).
There’s one song out there that makes everyone giggle: “Beans, beans the musical fruit…” Sure it’s funny, but it’s inaccurate. Beans are not a fruit, they’re a vegetable! So Bush’s Beans has issued a challenge to all budding lyricists: Rewrite the chant that begins, “Beans, beans” to spread the word that beans are a vegetable. Check out their Magical Veggie Challenge for all the details!
Here’s how to participate:
Write a post on your blog sharing your favorite kiddie-inspired songs that you sing out loud and proud together. Post anytime this weekend - Today, October 3 to Sunday, October 5 and include links to http://www.beanchant.com and http://blog.parentbloggers.com.
Also, please include the following: “This post was written for Parent Bloggers Network as an entry for a contest sponsored by Bush’s Beans.”
Make sure to send your blog post link to parentbloggers@gmail.com and we’ll round them up right here - so give your post a creative title!
What can you win?
We’ve got two $500 Best Buy gift cards to be randomly awarded among all participating bloggers. That way, you can buy your own video camera and enter the Magical Veggie Challenge!
