Discovery Channel Store Toys (ages 3+) - Campaign Launch
Toys are a hot topic every holiday season (and even more so this year). The spectrum of toys runs from handmade ones you can buy online to the “It” toys you can buy at 6am on Black Friday (if you don’t get trampled or hit over the head by some overzealous mother with an oversized handbag).
Beyond the safety concerns surrounding toys, most parents are also interested in finding toys that are both entertaining and educational. That’s not to say that fun isn’t a priority - on the contrary, children learn through play. But how much will our kids benefit from one more themed Barbie or another dozen Matchbox cars (that, in all probability, will be lost under the sofa before the day’s over)?
The Discovery Channel - which I’ve often found to be a good alternative to typical children’s programming - has an online store filled with fantastic educational toys. Not only will our kids love them, but we parents will genuinely enjoy playing with them too.
The Parent Bloggers Network has had the good fortune to team up with the Discovery Channel Store to review a series of toys for a variety of ages. We’ve got three separate campaigns coming up, divided according to age, and the first one launches today.
Fifteen bloggers received either a Paz’s Radio Control Fire Truck or a Paz’s Lift-Off Rocket. Both are geared toward kids aged three and up. Check out their reviews over the next few weeks - we’re betting that more than a few PBN readers will add these toys to their own kids’ holiday wish lists!
