Congrats Cori!!
I’ve gotta good question. I’m sending it over.
I know it is incredibly cheesy, but I have been enjoying the cheesy vampire/chick-lit by Mary Janice Davidson for when I don’t want to have to think. The newest one is here http://www.amazon.com/Undead-Uneasy-Queen-Betsy-Book/dp/0425213765/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2/102-0967636-1960921?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1194276736&sr=8-2
I have to say honestly I have not read anything new release in some time. The most recent fiction book I read that had me simply cracking up out loud was titled ‘The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove’ by author Christopher Moore I totally endorse this read!!

Sweet! I’m gonna have to put my thinking cap on…
Darn that I didn’t win all the booty! But at least I can get some advice out of it!
The Beach by Mary Ann Monroe. Excellent read!!
woohoo! cool - now I have to think about this and make sure my question is indeed The One I Need Answered Most!

I recently discovered Never Look Back by Kathy Herman. Excellent book series! http://qtpies7.blogspot.com/2007/10/never-look-back-by-kathy-herman.html
The Thirteenth Tale is a great book. It took me a long time to read(I have 4 kids), but well worth it! Currently reading ‘The Time Travelers Wife’, another really good book.
I love anything by Janet Evanovich — her Stephanie Plum series is hysterical and keeps you “in” the story till the end!
Like GulfCoastMommy, I have discovered Christopher Moore, and his books are amazingly funny. I just finished _Bloodsucking Fiends_, and highly recommend it. Although I think there was some bad language (his other books have it), vampire themes, adult themes (with vampires), and general weirdness. But it was hilarious.
Love Mary Kay Andrews, can’t wait for her newest “Deep Dish.”
Also eagerly anticipating the new Dean Koontz that comes out later this month.
But my most recent read, “Rhett Butler’s People” is marvelous and great for those who wanted more after his famous parting line.
For the younger set, “The Mysterious Benedict Society” is fab.
