OxiClean - Here’s What They’re Saying So Far

The never-ending piles of laundry we face as parents are frustrating enough in themselves. It’s even worse when you have to inspect every item as you pull it out of the washer to determine whether or not the stains are gone, and then set those still-stained items aside for a second (or third) laundering. At that point, it’s probably less hassle and expense to replace them, particularly since all that washing won’t necessarily remove the stains, but will certainly cause fading. If only the clothes would get reliably clean the first time around.

With OxiClean, it seems that’s actually possible.

Our bloggers put it to the test on both their own clothes and their kids’ clothes:

[My husband] completed the ultimate test. Washing his dirty smells grimy oil/grease/gas/dirt stained work clothes. This is no small feat. I, personally, do not wash these clothes since they are so freakin’ gross…Once washing was complete, he intently examined the articles and noted that a large portion of the stains had been removed, and he didn’t notice any change in color or fading.

So, next test. Toddler daycare clothes.

Paint, food, markers, slobber, snot and drool make for one crusty and filthy shirt at the end of the day. With a full load of wash, warm water, my regular detergent and one small scoop of OxiClean the shirts came out clean and stain-free!

A few bloggers were already devoted users of OxiClean, and this campaign has reinforced their reasons for using the product:

One blogger - who avoids laundry and admits “I’ve always been afraid of OxiClean, though my friends and relatives with young kids swear by it. I prefer to squirt stuff on the stains rather than try to figure out which spot in the washer to put the OxiClean.” - handed it over to her husband and crossed her fingers that it would work on her daughter’s day care dresses:

[My daughter] has a great love of twirly dresses. She wants to wear them every single day. They were expensive. She wears them to daycare. OxiClean had itself a nice little challenge. After three weeks and five wears of the white twirly dress with pink, green and blue polka dots (the one that looked so nice and lined I was horrified to put it on her the first time) is still a white dress with pink, green and blue polka dots. You can not see the processed cheese food, the juice, the pizza sauce or any of the other highly-staining foodstuffs that have spilled on this. I have to say, I think it might be the OxiClean.

I think I’ll keep using the OxiClean - her clothes have not been this unstained since she started crawling.

For the love of twirly dresses, give OxiClean a try. You won’t regret it.
