Wilbur Campaign Launch: A New Show for Preschoolers Created by Moms

Inspired by what they perceived as limited reading-focused television programming for kids, moms JILL LUEDTKE, TRACEY HORNBUCKLE AND KIM ANTON decided to do something about it. And what was born from their hardwork and dedication to the power of storybooks was Wilbur, a show now featured on Discovery Kids Channel (8am PST/11am EST) as part of their Ready, Set, Learn Programming and The Learning Channel (6:30am C/MST & 7:30am EST).

If you’ve got a love for books and want to make sure it’s passed down to your kids, check out what our bloggers have to say about Wilbur, a cute little cow who takes us through the ins and outs of book reading with his book-loving barnyard friends. The show is not only meant to reinforce the positive nature of books themselves, but also instruct kids on how to read books — everything from turning pages to how to hold a book.

All of this created by three moms who wanted to make a difference in early literacy in this country. Check out the reviews as well as the show. Leave us a comment and tell us what you think!
