Garage sales can truly be treasure troves - if you have the time to explore and the patience to look closely. But even better, you can learn a great deal about the sellers and the items they’re selling. It’s not about finding treasures of the sort that you can hawk on eBay, but discovering items that were once meaningful to someone else - that might now be meaningful to you too.
Bruce Littlefield has to be one of the most energetic and enthusiastic people out there. His website - promoting his latest book, “Garage Sale America” - is bright and exuberant. Even the most parsimonious misanthrope couldn’t help but get excited about the prospect of potential garage sale finds after viewing his site - especially the photos from Bruce’s home, furnished and decorated entirely from garage sale purchases!
