The more kids I add to my brood, the less time I seem to have. It didn’t hit me until my husband left for training this week and I’m left, mostly alone, with a baby and a toddler. I barely have time to eat let alone try to figure out why my daughter isn’t sleeping well and my son’s running nose just won’t stop running.

But, searching Google gets me a few good articles mixed with way too many ads and useless sites; quite frankly, I don’t have the brain cells left to sift through them.

So, I was pleased to learn about a new site for moms called Light Iris. With the tagline “It begins here,” the Light Iris creators are focusing on the needs of new and expectant moms as people and women and not so much baby breeders. What a concept? Launched on Mother’s Day, the first feature our reviewers will be checking out is a specialized Google search that surfs only the best parenting sites around. And that includes blogs as well.

Stay tuned for two week’s worth of reviews, and in the mean time, check out the site for yourself — in fact, bookmark it. You know, for when you’re awake at 3am and need to find ways to get your kid to sleep. And feel free to submit your blog to be included in the search sites.
