I just attended the Boston event and I have to say that I was a bit disappointed. The Mad Tater cancelled, leaving no tatoo artist or other fun kid attraction to entertain the kids with. The bubbles on the dance floor were on just every once in a while. The BLD team sent us a nice email with all the event details. This part was great and they let everyone know that you did not need to show up right at 2:00pm when the doors opened. So we arrived a little after 3:00pm. The bad thing was that the food was so badly picked over you really did not want to eat it. Some of it was refreshed but a cheese tray stayed looking the same for the entire time. Needless to say we did not have much to eat. Lastly, obviously this is a kid event and diaper changing is neccessary..but you had to pass the diaper changing area to get to the bathroom, and since there was no proper way to dispose of the diapers..it smelled horrible. Anyways, we stayed for a bit, but I would not attend again.

Kristen, I'm sorry you had such a disappointing time! I encourage you to contact Baby Loves Disco directly to share your concerns - I'm confident they would want to hear them so that they can make the next show MUCH better.

OK I'm going to sound like SUCH a prude here, but we found the Seattle venue dirty. A pungent urine smell greeted us in the stairway. My son ended up filthy from crawling around the tents in the chill-out room, and it wasn't that "clean dirt" he finds in the back yard. Outside on the street the police were patting down a suspect while searching his car. I think our 18-month-old was too young for this and can't fathom bringing a non-walker. It was just too grubby. Maybe there's a reason we don't take kids to nightclubs! I think he was too young and I'm too old. ;-) ((and party favors? No party favors to be had in Seattle! Boo!))
